There are so many beautiful and accessible locations for fishing in South County!  Whether you're looking to land that monster striped bass (state record 70lbs, 55 1/2") or a fighting blue (record 26 lbs, 39") from shore or from a boat, Southern Rhode Island has the fish!   Fluke, tautog, weakfish, scup, cod, winter flounder, haddock and pollock are plentiful too!  Offshore you're bound to bring in some large tuna and fluke.

If you prefer fresh water fishing, pick up your license and head to the clean, wild rivers, lakes and ponds to catch some largemouth and smallmouth bass, trout, catfish, pike and other species.  The fish are always biting in Rhode Island!
